When you enroll in our Daily Wellness Check or TextForTwo programs, we collect:

  • Emergency Contact Information: Name and phone number of designated contact person(s) (Daily Wellness Check only)
  • Program Preferences: Preferred check-in times, customized messages (TextForTwo)
  • Communication Data: Your responses to our text messages

1.2 Information Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain technical information:

  • Message Logs: Date and time of messages sent and received
  • Response Status: Whether you responded to wellness check messages
  • Technical Data: Phone carrier information, message delivery status

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Facilitate daily message exchanges between paired participants (TextForTwo)

  • Analyze response patterns (without identifying individuals)

We will NEVER:

3.1 With Your Designated Contacts

Daily Wellness Check: Your designated emergency contacts will receive alerts if you don't respond to your daily check-in. They will know:

  • That you did not respond to your scheduled wellness check
  • The date and time you were expected to respond

TextForTwo: Your paired partner will receive:

  • Your pre-set daily message when you choose to send it
  • Confirmation of message receipt

3.2 Service Providers

We share limited information with trusted service providers who help us deliver our services:

  • SMS Service Providers (Twilio, SignalWire): To send and receive text messages
  • Database Hosting: To securely store your enrollment information

All service providers are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for any purpose other than providing services to us.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, such as:

  • In response to valid legal process (subpoena, court order)
  • To protect the safety of individuals in emergency situations
  • To comply with legal obligations

3.4 What We Don't Share

We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes.

  • After Unenrollment: We may retain basic contact information for up to 12 months to facilitate re-enrollment and maintain historical records
  • Message Logs: Message delivery records are retained for 90 days for troubleshooting and quality assurance

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Update

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Update or correct your information
  • Change your program preferences or contact information

6.2 Opt-Out and Unenrollment

You may:

  • Unenroll at any time by texting "STOP" to our service number or contacting us directly
  • Upon unenrollment, we will immediately cease sending wellness check messages
  • Your emergency contacts will be notified of your unenrollment (Daily Wellness Check)

6.3 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your personal information. We will delete your data except where we're required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes).

7. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

Message Frequency: You will receive one message per day at your scheduled time. Additional messages may be sent for service notifications.

Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. We do not charge for our service, but your carrier may charge for SMS messages.

Carriers Not Liable: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Help: Text "HELP" to our service number for assistance.

Stop: Text "STOP" to our service number to unsubscribe at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • We will notify active participants of material changes via text message or email
  • Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
